9" Gertrude is a painted cloth doll with sculpted ears. She wears a green dress with a small flower print.  Handmade antique tatting decorates her collar and cuffs ad a small pearl button is at the neckline.  Her slip and pantalets are trimmed with vintage lace.  

She has a crocheted shawl around her shoulders that matches her lacy day cap.  Brown painted boots with red stripes and white dots finish her outfit.

 

She is named for my ancestor Gertrude Staples, born 1887.
