Zilpha

9.5 Zilpha is a black cloth doll with a hand sculpted nose and ears.  She wears an off white dress with a small flower print and 3 buttons at the neckline, it is trimmed in lace as well as her slip and pantalets.  An antique lace shawl covers her shoulders and a lacy day cap, her head.  Red painted boots finish her outfit.

She is named for my ancestor Zilpha Staples, born in 1817.
